Being inexperienced in matters of CAC at the time, the registration process proved arduous. The registration was finally done by her mum, Barr. Mrs. P.k. Obi with the name Hope House Foundation in 2009, the same year Sally proceeded to the United Kingdom for her Masters degree.
Though the vision for organization remained very much alive in her mind, she spent the next 10 years after her return to Nigeria in 2011, working in the Public Service and caring for her 4 young children. Having voluntarily retired from public service, she resumed actively working on the Organization, this time, more experienced, resolute and better supported by family and friends who currently make up the advisory team of the Organization. Being strongly advised, the team unanimously agreed that the name of the organization should, on first glance, reflect its purpose, thus, the name 'Street Kids Empowerment Foundation' was adopted. A new organization with the adopted name was registered on 17th May, 2022 to accomplish the same purpose for which Hope House Foundation was established.
